Good to know
- Laboratory work is billed separately and varies with the tests ordered. Lab testing is not covered by OHIP.
- HST: there is no HST on naturopathic visit fees or certain lab services. HST applies to supplements.
- Payment is due in full after each visit. Cash, Visa, Mastercard and debit are accepted.
Insurance coverage
Naturopathic visits are not covered by OHIP, but many extended health benefit plans include naturopathic coverage — check your individual plan for details.
- Direct billing is available through Telus eClaims for participating insurers (including Manulife, Canada Life and Blue Cross).
- Green Shield claims must be submitted by the patient.
- Acupuncture visits with an ND are claimed under your naturopathic benefits, not acupuncture benefits.
