When will I notice results?

 

There is not a "quick fix" in Naturopathic medicine as healing the root of a concern takes dedication and time. Everyone is unique and each person heals at a different rate. Some people feel better within minutes while others take longer to reach their optimal health.

Are Naturopathic services covered by OHIP?

 

Naturopathic services are currently not covered by OHIP. Most extended health insurance policies do cover Naturopathic services though. Fortunately, Naturopathic visits are now tax except! Supplements are not covered by OHIP or insurance. For more information, please click here.

What is a naturopathic doctor?

 

Naturopathic doctors (NDs) are highly trained as primary health practitioners who use a variety of avenues (including thorough history, physical exams and laboratory results) to help understand the nature of a person's health. NDs use a variety of natural remedies including nutrition, botanical medicine, acupuncture and mind/body medicine to help a patient heal. To be ND in Ontario, one must complete an undergraduate degree, complete a four year Naturopathic Medical degree and pass a board certifying licensing exam.

Do you work with other health professionals including MDs?

 

Yes I do. My goal is to have patients receive the best possible quality of care. This often includes working with MDs, chiropractors, nutritionists, physiotherapists and other health professionals to ensure you receive the best possible care.

Does acupuncture hurt?

 

For most people, acupuncture is painless. While some might feel a slight pinch upon insertion. People often feel a painless sensation of the energy around the needle.
