Well Woman Visits/PAP and Breast Exam
I am pleased to announce that I will be starting my Well Woman program at Inside U Woodstock. Many women do not realize that Naturopathic Doctors are trained and licensed to perform breast exams, pelvic exams and PAP smears in Ontario.
What are Well Woman visits?
A Well Woman visit is important to ensure optimal female health. These visits include a breast exam, a pelvic exam and a PAP smear in a safe, caring environment.
Cost $120 - 45 minutes
The cost of the visit includes the PAP smear and a copy of your results.The visit can be claimed under extended health benefits where applicable. Note: OHIP does not cover PAP smears performed by NDs.
You have options to make gynaecological exams easier and more comfortable
If you are having trouble getting in to see your family doctor or nurse practitioner for your regular PAP, you would like a PAP sooner than every three years or if you would simply prefer to come to Inside U for this service, please do so. You do not need to be an existing patient at the clinic to book a Well Woman visit. If you are worried about your Well Woman visit, I aim to make the experience as comfortable and empowering as possible.
